In Indian historical books and 

biographies,his details are found But,nobody thought of giving it due importance in their writings due to his past deeds in Dwapara Yuga and described their meeting with 'Ashwathama' in only a few lines.

He had a gem on his forehead which used to protect him from fear of any snakes,demons and demigods.He is Devotee of 'Shiva'. This is True he is still alive.
All the incidents are based on evidences.

This discription is given in 'Prithviraj Raso' The book written in 12th centurywhen in 1192,Prithviraj chauhaan lost the battle from muhammad gauree, he left for jungle.
There he met one giant person with a scar on his forehead.being a very good doctor Prithviraj confidently asked him that he can cure his scar.The old man agreed but even after week's medication it remained as it is
Prithviraj was surprised and understood the details.He asked the man if he is 'Ashwathama' because only the scars that is created through taking up the (mani)gem from his forehead can not be cured.The old man told that he was 'Ashwathama' and he went away.

Vasudevanand saraswati(a saint) met 'Ashwathama'
This encounter with Ashwathama was written in the auto biography of Vasudevanand saraswati.'Vasudevanand saraswati' a saint, saw Ashwathama in the dense forest of shoolpaneeshwar in the year 1912.After a stay of 6-7 months swami crossed the dense forest of shoolpaneeshwar.swami got lost in the dense forest and was unable to reach the town.In the dence forest,an strange person appeared in front of the swami and provided to help him in finding the right path to move out of forest.The swami was not confused  as he was true yogi and devout  saint not to afraid of anyone,
the swami keenly observed his physique and characteristics which were very peculiar.
When they almost reached the end of the forest,the strange man helped the swami said,"we are close to the town"
"I cannot go with you anymore.this is the extream i can come".Swami ji replied,I have observed your gait,behaviour and physique very keenly.none of them seem human to me,who are you?
Are you a ghost?
Are you a Yaksha?
Reveal your true identity!"
The odd man answered,"you are right.none of them seem normal because i do not belong to this kalyuga.
I am from "Dwapara Yuga" I am Ashwathama.

Ludhiana(Punjab)
There lived a famous vaidya(doctor) in ludhiana,(punjab) he was a bhakt(devotee) of "data dayal"(a famous guru).He would spend hours meditating too.
it was summer time and everything was shut due to summers in 1969and he was nearly to close his shop just then an old person came to him whose face was covered and spoke to him in crude panjaabee and hindi mix...
I have listened your fame a lot that you are a big doctor.
can you diagnose my wound?
Doctor said-"tell me what the problem is?"
and when he removed the turban from his head,there was a dent on the forehead.
After seeing it,the doctor was flummoxed
he had never seen such a dent before,as if the brain was taken away from the front,yet the skin was tight as if nothing had happened.The doctor was a bit nervous but still said that he would like to have a second look at him and then the man again said:-
Do you know who am i?
and doctor replied-"I think I know who you are but still let me get my first aid stuff."
by the time he brings his medicine  from the almirah,that man had left,never to be found again.
but doctor said that,"his eyes always searched  him" "he had blue eyes,which were so sharp as if he would walk inside his brain."

भारतीय ऐतिहासिक पुस्तकों और आत्मकथाओं में, उनका विवरण मिलता है लेकिन, किसी ने इसे द्वापर युग में अपने पिछले कर्मों के कारण उनके लेखन में उचित महत्व देने के बारे में नहीं सोचा और केवल कुछ पंक्तियों में 'अश्वत्थामा' के साथ अपनी मुलाकात का वर्णन किया।
 उसके माथे पर एक मणि थी जो किसी भी सांप, राक्षस और राक्षस के डर से उसकी रक्षा करती थी वह  शिव ’का भक्त है।  यह सच है कि वह अभी भी जीवित है।
 सभी घटनाएं साक्ष्य पर आधारित हैं
 1-यह शिलालेख 'पृथ्वीराज रासो' 12 वीं शताब्दी में लिखी गई पुस्तक में दिया गया है
 जब 1192 में, पृथ्वीराज चौहान मुहम्मद गौरे से लड़ाई हार गए, तो वह जंगल में चले गए वहाँ वह एक विशालकाय व्यक्ति से मिले जिसके माथे पर चोट के निशान थे एक बहुत अच्छे डॉक्टर होने के नाते पृथ्वीराज ने आत्मविश्वास से उससे पूछा कि वह अपने निशान को ठीक कर सकता है बूढ़ा मान गया लेकिन सप्ताह की दवा के बाद भी यह वैसा ही बना रहा पृथ्वीराज आश्चर्यचकित थे और विवरण को समझ गए थे
 उन्होंने उस आदमी से पूछा कि क्या वह 'अश्वत्थामा' है क्योंकि उसके माथे से (मणि) मणि लेने से जो निशान बनते हैं उन्हें ठीक नहीं किया जा सकता।
 बूढ़े व्यक्ति ने बताया कि वह 'अश्वत्थामा' था और वह चला गया
 2-वासुदेवानंद सरस्वती (एक संत) से मिले 'अश्वत्थामा'-
 अश्वथामा के साथ यह मुठभेड़ वासुदेवानंद सरस्वती की ऑटो जीवनी में लिखी गई थी
 'वासुदेवानंद सरस्वती' एक संत, ने 1912 में शूलपनेश्वर के घने जंगल में अश्वत्थामा को देखा था।
 6-7 महीने के प्रवास के बाद स्वामी ने शूलपनेश्वर का घना जंगल पार किया स्वामी घने जंगल में खो गए और शहर तक पहुंचने में असमर्थ थे घने जंगल में, एक अजीब व्यक्ति स्वामी के सामने आया और उसे जंगल से बाहर जाने के लिए सही रास्ता खोजने में मदद की स्वामी भ्रमित नहीं थे क्योंकि वे सच्चे योगी थे और किसी से भी नहीं डरते थे स्वामी ने उनकी काया और विशेषताओं को बहुत गौर से देखा जो बहुत ही अजीब थे जब वे लगभग जंगल के अंत तक पहुंच गए, तो अजीब आदमी ने स्वामी की मदद करते हुए कहा, "हम शहर के करीब हैं"
 "मैं तुम्हारे साथ अब और नहीं जा सकता।"
स्वामी जी ने उत्तर दिया, मैंने आपके हाव-भाव, व्यवहार और काया को बहुत उत्सुकता से देखा है। उनमें से कोई मुझे मानव लगता है, आप कौन हैं?
 क्या आप प्रेत हो?
 क्या आप यक्ष हैं?
 अपनी असली पहचान का खुलासा करो! ”
अजीब आदमी ने जवाब दिया, "आप सही हैं। उनमें से कोई भी सामान्य लगता है क्योंकि मैं इस कलियुग से संबंधित नहीं हूं।
मैं "द्वापर युग" से हूँ मैं अश्वत्थामा हूँ।
3- लुधियाना (पंजाब)
लुडिका में एक प्रसिद्ध वैद्य (डॉक्टर) रहते थे, (पंजाबी) वे "डेटा दयाल" (एक प्रसिद्ध गुरु) के भक्त (भक्त) थे वह घंटों ध्यान लगाकर भी बिताता
 गर्मियों का समय था और 1969 में ग्रीष्मकाल के कारण सब कुछ बंद था और वह अपनी दुकान बंद करने ही वाला था कि तभी एक बूढ़ा व्यक्ति उसके पास आया, जिसका चेहरा ढंका हुआ था और वह उससे कच्चे पानबेजी और हिंदी में बात कर रहा था ... मैंने आपकी प्रसिद्धि बहुत सुनी है
कि तुम एक बड़े डॉक्टर हो क्या आप मेरे घाव का निदान कर सकते हैं?
 डॉक्टर ने कहा- "बताओ क्या समस्या है?"
और जब उन्होंने अपने सिर से पगड़ी को हटाया, तो माथे पर एक दांत था।इसे देखने के बाद, डॉक्टर को हड़बड़ा गया
उसने पहले कभी ऐसा दांत नहीं देखा था, जैसे कि मस्तिष्क को सामने से दूर ले जाया गया हो, फिर भी त्वचा इतनी कड़ी थी जैसे कि कुछ भी नहीं हुआ हो
डॉक्टर थोड़ा घबराया हुआ था लेकिन फिर भी उसने कहा कि वह उस पर दूसरी नज़र डालना चाहेगा और फिर उस आदमी ने फिर कहा: -
 क्या तुम जानते हो मैं कौन हैं?
और डॉक्टर ने जवाब दिया- "मुझे लगता है कि मैं जानता हूं कि आप कौन हैं लेकिन फिर भी मुझे मेरा प्राथमिक उपचार करने की अनुमति है।"
 जब तक वह अलमीरा से अपनी दवा लाता है, तब तक वह आदमी छोड़ चुका था, फिर कभी नहीं मिला।
लेकिन डॉक्टर ने कहा कि, "उसकी आँखों ने हमेशा उसे खोजा" "उसके पास नीली आँखें थीं, जो इतनी तेज थीं जैसे कि वह उसके मस्तिष्क के अंदर चलेगा।"
