सामान्यत: ब्रह्मचर्य पुरुषों के लिए आरक्षित स्थिति मानी जाती है। दरअसल ब्रह्मचर्य एक ऐसा आचरण है, जो स्त्री और पुरुष दोनों के लिए ही समान है। ब्र्रह्मचर्य एक शक्ति का नाम है, जो ब्रह्म के आचरण से आती है।
एक आंतरिक अनुशासन ब्रह्मचर्य का रूप है। इसका संबंध केवल शारीरिक नहीं है। शरीर के स्तर पर तो ब्रह्मचर्य स्त्री-पुरुष दोनों के लिए अलग-अलग होगा, लेकिन जब इसे आंतरिक शक्ति के रूप में लेंगे, तो यह स्त्री के लिए भी उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण होगा, जितना पुरुष के लिए है।
स्त्री का ब्रह्मचर्य उसे रूप-धन की स्थिति से भी मुक्त कराएगा। जैसे-जैसे वह अपनी आंतरिक शक्ति को पहचानेगी, मां बनना उसके लिए विवशता नहीं, विशेष अधिकार बन जाएगा। स्त्री का ब्रह्मचर्य उसके मातृत्व के लिए एक वरदान है।
जो स्त्रियां अपनी आंतरिक शक्ति पर बखूबी टिकीं, उन्हें पुरुष से बराबरी का रुतबा पाने में अधिक कठिनाई नहीं हुई। बिना आंतरिक शक्ति के पुरुष से जो बाहरी संघर्ष होगा, वह ऊर्जा को नष्ट करने वाला, वातावरण को दूषित करने वाला और जीवन को संकट में डालने वाला ही रहेगा।
माताओं, बहनों को योग, प्राणायाम और ध्यान से गुजरते समय अधिक सरलता रहेगी। माताओं, बहनों को अपने व्यक्तित्व की प्रस्तुति करने में आज भी कई परेशानियां हैं, लेकिन ब्रह्मचर्य यानी आंतरिक शक्ति पर टिकते ही उनके लिए सारा वातावरण मित्रवत हो जाएगा।
इसका अर्थ है सम्मान और सदाचार के साथ उन्हें सहयोग मिलेगा और वे भी सान्निध्य दे सकेंगी

English Translation

Generally, celibacy is considered a position reserved for men. Actually Brahmacharya is a practice which is the same for both men and women. Brahmacharya is the name of a power, which comes from the conduct of Brahm.

An internal discipline is the form of celibacy. Its relation is not merely physical. At the level of the body, celibacy will be different for both men and women, but when it is taken as an internal force, it will be as important for the woman as it is for the man.

A woman's celibacy will also free her from the condition of money and wealth. As she recognizes her inner strength, becoming a mother will become a special right, not a compulsion for her. A woman's celibacy is a boon for her motherhood.
The women, who depended on their inner strength, did not have much difficulty in getting equal status from men. The external conflict with a man without internal power will be an energy destroyer, a polluter of the environment and a threat to life.
Mothers and sisters will have more ease while going through yoga, pranayama and meditation. Mothers and sisters have many difficulties in presenting their personality even today, but the whole atmosphere will be friendly for them as soon as they are celibate.
